The Tess Corners Volunteer Fire Department is the fire protection, prevention and emergency medical service for the city of Muskego, Wisconsin.
The department was organized on March 27, 1926, to serve the unincorporated community of Tess Corners, Wisconsin and surrounding areas. Its first chief was S.J. Salentine, who served from 1926 to 1951. The department began rescue services in 1960, and purchased its first ambulance in 1966.[1]
After the town of Muskego was incorporated as a city in 1964, the department kept its original name and independence from city government. The department enters into yearly agreements with Muskego for funding.[2]
